National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association - An organization of professional journalists that works to ensure equal benefits and workplace conditions for lesbian and gay employees in news organizations. NLGJA works within the news industry for fair, accurate, and comprehensive coverage of gay issues.

Partners Task Force for Gay & Lesbian Couples - Information, support, and advocacy for same-sex couples and those who serve them.  The task force asserts the right of same-sex couples to marry and to be recognized as domestic partners due equal benefits and treatment.

Servicemembers Legal Defense Network - With a nationwide network of over 200 attorneys from the best law firms in the nation, SLDN offers the legal advice and assistance that service members need to effectively respond to investigations. SLDN works closely with its allies in the military, Congress, and the media to serve those military members at risk. In addition, SLDN carefully documents abuses of the military policy on homosexuals and uses the data gathered from the field to push for policy change.

The International Association of Lesbian/Gay Pride Coordinators, Inc. - IAL/GPC is a nonprofit organization made up of many cities producing Gay & Lesbian Pride events worldwide. The group holds an annual international conference in October to conduct corporate business, discuss future plans, politcal concerns, merchandising, operations, and logistics for the planning and production of a variety of Gay Pride events that are held around the globe. There are five yearly regional conferences also held, four in North America and one in Europe (European Pride Organizers Association). The International Gay Pride Theme is also chosen by the general membership in the plenary session.

GLAAD - GLAAD stands for Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. They describe their Website as "your online resource for promoting fair, accurate and inclusive representation as a means of challenging discrimination based on sexual orientation or identity." Of this, they do a very good job. GLAAD attacks unfair or inaccurace portrayals of gays or lesbians in the media by working to educate members of the media and entertainment industries, and by supporting those who do a good job of being fair and inclusive.

PFLAG - PFLAG stands for Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays. It is a large international group made up of families and friends of gays and lesbians which works for equality by showing what true "family values" are made of.

Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund - National organization working for the civil rights of lesbians, gays and people with HIV through litigation, education and public policy work.
